Prior to the demolition of two of the wings of this residency built by Jean de Mailly, a prospective study was set up. Located to the right of the Nobel Tower,the progressive mutation of this residency had been devised into five steps :
1. The residential housing has been organized around a wide interior garden of half a hectare. It is suspended above the Seine River between Bellini Street and the Nobel Tower square.
2. An office building placed near the ring highway, now protects the garden against noise of the traffic. At the base of the building are parking levels.
3. The 390 dwellings remaining which look onto the Nobel Tower and the Seine River have been upgraded.
4. Two high rise blocks have been erected on Bellini Street representing a quarter of the space of demolished buildings.
5. The garden has been opened up thanks to the newly upgraded dwellings and allows for communication between Bellini Street and the foot of the Defence esplanade.
