Initial context

Two enormous buildings of 200 dwellings face each other. Built in 1974, they are typical specimens of the brutal period of " urban renovation " in Paris. However the buildings have the advantage of magnificent views on the capital.

Put a stop to the monotony of the building, solve all the technical problems and propose a new architecture in order to reconcile the inhabitants with their building.

The budget for the renovation of the facades was very limited and we were not going to accept any ordinary facelift. The difficulty remained in constructing balconies all in respecting the original budget planned for simple facade renovations. Within the framework of a " design and build " process and with the contractor Bouygues, we elaborated an innovative system that allows the suspension of three dimensional elements in white concrete in front of three thirds of the dwellings.
