| Project This residence, composed of
246 dwellings that are divided into three groups of buildings present
two major problems :
-Access to the buildings was done by stairwell/elevators and exterior galleries without any protection from bad weather. The principle of a permeable distribution from one stairwell to another through galleries was against any form of security. The galleries were closed by the installation of windows protected by shade screens. The stairwells were isolated by reconstituted stone cladding and the secured entrances at ground floor. -Finally, the galleries were re-cut so as to remove any parasite circulation. The treatment of the facades, galleries, the stairwell and the base has redefined the outline composition of the buildings. |
